E-mailing to Blog with photos
This last method of using the e-mail account to post a message with attached picture worked just fine. By the time that I exited Hotmail and opened the blog, the picture and text were there (actually, the photo was just completing its download), obviously a superior method of transportation than posting directly. I tried, once again, to post a picture directly, using the small photo setting. This one never came through at all, having apparently frozen at some stage. If anyone were to read this blog (unlikely) and have a solution other than e-mailing (using a dial-up connection), please don't hesitate to let me know

One of the problems with using Blogger has been that the speed of download for photos has been abysmally slow or hasn't worked at all. Hoping that this relates to the size of photos, I am using Hotmail which automatically downsizes pictures. With any luck, this may be faster than direct downloads to the blog

Blog exploratory mission July 23rd 2009
The last post on this site was made in 2007. Since then, hard drives have been replaced and two years of southern travel have taken place. This post is merely an exploratory mission to see if the blog still lives (which, apparently, it does) and to see if the picture posting process has improved any in the intervening two years since last used. If this works, then I might update the blog with text and photos from 2008 and 2009
